First things first, that intro has to go. You almost lost me there. You figured out how to use the bend note button on a shitty keyboard, way to go champ. Aside from that I really dig the music but I’m on the fence about the vocals. It’s rare I say this but you should stick to the high notes. Most singers are terrible when they go high but you’re nailing it. The song is a good blend of pop melodies and weird shit. Swag.

Ugh, come on dude… blues & dubstep? Really? First of all, pretty sure Moby did this in excess 15 years ago. People are still sick of the blues + electronic music combo because of that little weasel. Aside from the Moby thing the guitars seem way out of place and the vocal samples are even worse. The super clean production of the track combined with the lo-fi samples doesn’t work together. By the way, Muddy Waters just rose from his grave and he’s coming after your ass - run bro! Suck.

This is a little less weird than some of EULA’s other shit but that’s okay. They crank up the Yeah Yeah Yeah vibe on this one. I find Karen O bothersome so I think I prefer this to YYYs. People are going to dwell on the YYY bullshit, which is unfortunate. And am I detecting a little Nirvana in there? Maybe it’s the guitar… I don’t know. But compare it to whatever you want, it’s pretty badass either way. Swag.

The music is pretty bitchin’ and all but I’m not 100% into the vocals. They’re alright, I guess, but don’t really match the ass-kickery of the rest of the song. A little testosterone would go a long way here. Nonetheless, it’s a good song and I hope it’s on the jukebox the next time I get into a bar fight with a biker gang. Swag.

Goddamnit! What is going on with the vocals here? I don’t think you have enough effects on them, buddy. Then in the middle of the song they lift the veil and reveal that the singer is some sort of mystic elf. Am I crazy or is that guitar WAY out of tune? Is that cool nowadays? Tune your guitar elf man! Sprinkle fairy dust on the strings or something. On the plus side the name Youth Lagoon makes me think of a naked, teenage Brooke Shields so that’s nice. Suck.

I don’t always listen to metal but when I do I want that shit to be brutal! Primitive Man brings the sludge and doom on this one. Sure, it kind of drags at times but I can deal with it. The vocalist clearly recorded the vocals while sitting on the toilet after Taco Tuesday and you have to respect that. Swag.
